The celebration of the birth of Christ is a time of great anticipation.
We are celebrating fulfilled promises as we remember our Savior's birth.
We long for the return of Christ.

This list of names is a reminder of the faithfulness of God in the covenant of grace that He has made.
These are real people who do not meet God's standard for holiness.
The anticipation would not be nearly so great if we did not need a Savior.
Real people with hopes and dreams lived in anticipation that the Son of David, the Messiah would come.
Christ's providence has put you here in the story.
He has provided for us from the beginning despite our unfaithfulness.
Our hope is not in righteousness, but in the blood of Christ.
